In my sleep I feel something,
Warmth, like a blanket,
A warm blanket covering me,
Could it be,
It must be…
Yes, it is, alas my other friend, the sun

Hello old friend,
Thanks for waking me to another day,
I love when you give me warm kisses,
Makes me feel really good inside,
I feel like I give you a reason to rise up every day

I love when you light up everything around me,
Something I know I will never take for granted,
How could I,
With you around, I'm never truly alone,
You do so much for me,
Help to show my beauty to myself,
You make me stronger, give me a purpose to keep on growing,

But what's this,
What is that over there, I can't tell,
Something behind those bushes, rustling is all I hear,
There's one spot that you can't shine on,
To much shade, covering everything,
Obscuring my view,
Well old friend, not to worry,
For you still shine on me,
Making me beautiful so whatever that is may see it
